• Provide, operate, and maintain the LivSync Service
• Enable health tracking and care coordination features

We do not use your data for advertising and do not sell your data under any circumstances.

Your data is securely stored using Google Firebase Authentication for account management and Google Firestore for structured data storage.

We implement encryption in transit, access controls, authentication safeguards, and security rules restricting access to your data.

We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

4. AI Features and Data Processing

LivSync may include AI-powered features to enhance your experience.

4.1 AI Provider

We utilize AI services powered by Claude, provided by Anthropic.

4.2 Data Sent to AI

When using AI features:

• Only non-identifiable health metrics, such as numerical values and trends, are shared
• No personal identifiers, such as name, email address, or date of birth, are sent

AI is used to:

• Answer general health-related questions
• Provide insights on trends in your data

AI responses:

• Are informational only
• Do not constitute medical advice
• Should not replace consultation with a licensed healthcare provider

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data.

We only share your data in the following cases:

5.1 With Your Consent

• With family members or caregivers you explicitly grant access to within the app

5.2 Service Providers

We rely on trusted infrastructure providers strictly for the purposes described. These providers do not have independent rights to use your data.

• Google Firebase — hosting, authentication, and data storage
• Anthropic — AI responses (de-identified health metrics only; see Section 4)
• U.S. National Library of Medicine (NLM) RxNorm API — medication name and dosage lookups; only medication names you search are transmitted, with no personal identifiers

We may disclose data if required to:

• Comply with applicable laws
• Respond to lawful requests by authorities
• Protect rights, safety, or prevent fraud

Upon deletion, your personal and health data will be removed from our active systems within a reasonable timeframe, subject to backup and legal retention constraints.

7. Data Retention

We retain your data as long as your account is active and as necessary to provide the Service.

We delete or anonymize data when you request deletion or when it is no longer needed for operational purposes.

8. Children's Privacy

LivSync is designed for use by adults (18 or older) who manage health information on behalf of children in their care. We require account holders to confirm at registration that they are at least 18 years old and are the parent or legal guardian of any children whose data they enter.

All children's health data in LivSync is owned and controlled by the parent or guardian account holder. The account holder is responsible for managing access to that data, including any sharing with third parties.

We do not knowingly collect data directly from children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account without parental consent, please contact us immediately so we can remove the account and associated data.

LivSync does not make children's health data available for advertising, sale, or any purpose beyond providing the Service as described in this policy.

9. HIPAA and Regulatory Position

LivSync is currently designed as a consumer health application, not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA.

We do not represent that LivSync is HIPAA-compliant at this stage. If future integrations, such as EHR systems, require HIPAA compliance, this policy will be updated accordingly.

10. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically.

If we make material changes, we will notify users via the app or email. The updated policy will include a revised Effective Date.
